Bill 'Gramp's' Brickner and his wife Janet 'Grams' Brickner started Gramp’s Gourmet Foods as a hobby in 2005 in their hometown of Scales Mound. He originally handmade a selection of pickles and beets for family, friends and community events, then extended his business to farmers' markets, specialty shops, and online.  
Gramp's Gourmet Foods are produced and created in Scales Mound, Illinois.   Scales Mound is near historic Galena, Illinois. 
Gramp’s currently offers 12 varieties of both sweet and dill pickles, Martha's Sweet Hot Mustard, a variety of pickled beets and Gramp’s signature drink: Apple-Pie-In-A-Jar. All pickles are available in slices or spears, are hand-cut and hand-packed.
